BCCP organized a Symposium at BUHS on

‘Learning from the Experts: A Course for Health Care Professionals’

 

Bangladesh Center for Communication Programs (BCCP) in collaboration with the Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS) organized a Symposium on ‘Learning from the Experts: A Course for Health Care Professionals’ on April 29, 2015 at the BUHS Auditorium.

Prof Liaquat Ali, Vice-Chancellor of the BUHS addressed the welcome speech on the occasion. He highly admired the initiative of the BCCP to motivate the health professionals in the campaign of the tobacco control countrywide. He put emphasis on simultaneous efforts of both the organization to combat the pandemic. 

Prof MSA Mansur Ahmed, Head, Department of Community Medicine, BUHS presented papers on ‘Tobacco Epidemic and its Health Effects’ and Dr Nazrul Hoque, Team Leader, BCCP Tobacco Control Project delivered speech on ‘Role of Health Care Professionals’ in the program. Mr Mohammad Shamimul Islam, Deputy Team Leader of the BCCP Project made the final presentation detailing the overview of the course.

About 200 participants including University teachers, health professional and students were present in the symposium among them around 30 participants enrolled on-site for the online course.

Prof Khurshida Khanom, Head, Department of Health Promotion and Health Education of BUHS addressed the concluding speech in the auspicious program.
