Admission Policy

BUHS follows UGC guidelines for admission:

Eligibility for admissions in the undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma programs of the Private Universalities shall be determined as per the approval of the University Grants Commission.

• Advertisements for admissions in any programs or courses other than the approved programs or courses of the of the University Grants Commission shall not be circulated.
• Students must have at least GPA 2.50 or second division in S.S.C and H.S.C or equivalent public examinations. However, Students must have at least GPA 6.00 in both examinations if s/he has GPA 2.00 in any examination.
• For English medium, students must have five subjects in O-Level and B Grade two subjects in A-Level subjects. S/he must have GPA 4.00 in four subjects and C Grade or GPA 3.50 in three subjects.
• For Freedom Fighter’s Quota, students must have GPA 5.00 in S.S.C and H.S.C examinations or equivalent public examinations.
• For Music, Fashion Design, Fine Arts, Graphics Design, Library Science and Information Programs/Courses, students must have at least GPA 2.00 in S.S.C/O-Level, H.S.C/A-Level or equivalent public examinations.
• Students passing out in H.S.C or equivalent public examinations from Science Group shall only be admitted in the Programs/Courses under the Faculties of Science and Engineering & Technology.
• GED Diploma holders shall not be considered for admission in the Private University.
• For Postgraduate Programs, students must have GPA 2.00 in the graduate level.

Waiver Policy

The authority of the Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS) has made decision to implement general and special waivers on both admission fee and tuition fees for admissions in the session Spring-2024 as follows:

International Students

Bangladesh University of Health Sciences offers all academic programs for international students. Students from various countries like Nepal, India, Somalia, Ethiopia and Nigeria etc are pursuing various programs here. Around 150 students have so far been graduated in various Hons and Master Programs from BUHS.

The university is welcoming international students for admissions in the offered programs in the current academic session. Interested applicants may visit website (www.buhs.ac.bd) for detailed information. H/she may send the scanned copies of all required academic documents and Passport page to prp@buhs.ac.bd for eligibility assessments. Offer Letter and Visa Recommendation Letter together with guidelines will be forwarded to the eligible applicant within 07 (seven) days on receipt of the documents via email. The University authority is providing all-out support in pertinent to visa and immigration matters by constant communication with concerned Embassies/High Commissions, law enforcing agencies and other officials.
