Israt Ara Hossain

Israt Ara Hossain is presently serving as a lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry & Cell Biology in the Bangladesh University of Health sciences (BUHS) which is an enterprise of the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh. With a Masters degree (Thesis Group) in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology under the University of Rajshahi (2005), Bangladesh she enrolled her Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) program in the Dept of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology under University of Dhaka. Major research areas of Israt Ara Hossain include pathophysiology of prediabetes, subclinical inflammation and nonalcoholic fatty liver diseases in Bangladeshi population.  She has one full and one supplementary article and out of 5 abstracts/posters she has delivered 3 presentations in regional/international conferences in home and abroad. Ms Israt has been awarded with Fellowships/Grants of various professional bodies/organizations including Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC); National Science of Information and Communication Technology (NSICT); Rajshahi University Scholarship; Rokeya Hall Talent Award, University of Rajshahi; Bangladesh Scholarship Council (BSC) and the Nippon Foundation, Japan, for academic achievements.
