- To develop qualified and skilled human resources in clinical, basic and allied health sciences & technology with the overall goal for improving health of population;
- To create multidisciplinary environment in biomedical research involving biological, chemical, clinical as well as social sciences as relevant to health;
- To generate evidence based suggestions which can help the Planners and Policy Makers to develop better health care programs in the country;

The Department of Biochemistry & Cell Biology was established in 2010 and the programs have been running since 2013. The Department involves both research and academic activities. Multi-disciplinary courses like including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Nutrition, Biostatistics and Computer Science are offered through this Department. Now the Department is offering 4 years BSc (Honors) and 1.5 years MS program.
