A public health activist of the country has more than 26 years’ experience of teaching health sciences in different institutes and Universities in home and abroad. Currently, working as the Dean, Faculty of Public Health, Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS), Guest Professor, Dept. of Pharmaceutical Science, North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh and Visiting Professor, Dept. of Public Health, National Cheng kung University, Taiwan. Studied Pharmacology (PhD) at Tokyo Medical and Dental University, Japan and worked as post-doctoral fellow at Indiana University, USA. Attended many international seminars as presenter, invited speaker, keynote speaker and session chair including India, Nepal, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, USA, Europe, and Australia. Working as the Secretary General of Public Health Association of Bangladesh (PHAB) and involved in many public health activities. Also an active member of many professional bodies including the USA based World Emergency COVID19 Pandemic Ethics (WeCope) Committee.
Currently as Prof. and Head of the Dept. of Community Dentistry & Dean, Faculty of Public Health, along with many other academic administrative and financial management activities, I am supervising master course (MPH) students at BUHS and M Phill, PhD students at Dhaka University (DU), Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).
