BUHS Faculty Md Ranzu Ahmed Awarded PhD Degree

 

 

 

Md Ranzu Ahmed, Faculty, Department of Chemistry, Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS) has recently awarded PhD degree from the University of Rajshahi. The title of his PhD was “Chemical and Biological Studies on Antidiabetic Single Plants and Composite Herbal Preparations”. He carried out his partial Doctoral works at the Laboratory of Natural Products, University Putra Malaysia (UPM). Dr Ranzu completed his PhD degree under the joint supervisions of Emeritus Professor Dr M Mosihuzzaman, University of Dhaka, Prof Dr M Abu Sayeed, University of Rajshahi, Prof Begum Rokeya, BUHS and Prof Khozirah Shaari, University Putra Malaysia. He was born on 1st October 1983 at Nurnagar, a village of Bhangura police station under Pabna district. He is blessed with two children and he is the 2nd one of his parents among two brothers & a sister. His wife Israt Jahan Emi is an Executive officer of BUHS. Dr Ranzu has expressed his profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for the prestigious academic award and he is also grateful to family members including his parents, Prof AK Azad Khan, President, Diabetic Association of Bangladesh and Prof Liaquat Ali, Vice Chancellor, BUHS for obtaining his PhD degree. BUHS has congratulated this young chemist for his academic excellence and wished him a bright professional progess ahead.
