Asirul Hoque; Date of Birth: December 26,1954; Education: PhD (Nutrition) in 1999; DAND (1988) and MBBS in year 1979; Current position: Dean of the Faculty of Public Health; Professor and Head of the Department of Community Nutrition, BUHS from July, 2013; Experiences in Government Services: 27 years+: March 1979 to October, 2006; Works in public health & nutrition: 24 years + and Teaching: > 12 years (GOB 8.5 y); Nutrition project/ program implementation and management experiences, as Deputy Project Director, Director program and Implementation Specialist: 10 years; Work as Consultant UNICEF for three terms (30m), as short term Consultant in Plan International/BD & World Bank and as Country Programs Advisor, HKI Bangladesh; Updated GMP Charts of WHO, 2006: GOB and NGOs are using since 2007; Nutrition programs evaluation experiences at national and international levels; As author/co-author 09 abstracts, 05 scientific papers, 11 books/ chapter of books, booklets were published and involved in various academic activities.
